Bluray Player

The Blu-ray format has received broad support from the major movie studios as a successor to today's DVD format. In fact, seven of the eight major movie studios (Disney, Fox, Warner, Paramount, Sony, Lionsgate and MGM) have released titles in the Blu-ray format. Many studios have also announced that they will begin releasing new feature films on Blu-ray Disc day-and-date with DVD, as well as a continuous slate of catalog titles every month. So, it is time to start your Blu-ray collection.

So, it is time to trash old DVD and purchase a Bluray Player and Blu-ray movies. The prices become suitable for me at least and no more HD DVD. But what Bluray Player is better? I advise you to visit comparison chart at blu-ray.com. Those chart helped me a lot. Several days ago I’ve got a brand new Panasonic DMP-BD50 Bluray Player. I have tested it with several Blu-ray discs and it plays them fantastically! Menu titles are amazing! Tried some good old DVD and it plays them even better than my old DVD player (I guess it resamples DVD to HDTV resolution). Actually, I will keep both the DVD and Bluray players, as my DVD player is able to record TV to discs and HDD and BD50 can’t.

Now I need to upgrade my LCD TV to something with FullHD resolution to use with my Bluray Player. Any recommendations?
